Catholic Engaged Encounter is a wonderful gift to give your fiance and yourself or an engaged couple you know. Through the years most of the couples that attended our weekends left having had the experience of a lifetime. We felt we knew a lot about each other but this weekend helped increase that knowledge as well as made us feel more normal in our up and down moments.
Chris and I have learned so much together this weekend. We feel we have a lot of new tools to help make our marriage successful. We enjoyed meeting all of you and witnessing your love for each other.
For a Lutheran who has been very involved in both the Lutheran and Catholic churches, I was both excited AND concerned about what this weekend might bring. You all far surpassed my expectations by being welcoming, warm, and non-judgmental. You stayed true to what the church teaches while being respectful of those present who may not completely ascribe to those views.
This weekend has blown all of my expectations out of the water. For me personally, I have a renewed sense of Spirituality and I am excited to enrich it beyond this weekend. For us as a couple, this experience has really brought things "big picture" and [we] definitely experienced some self discovery on "simmering issues."
